High Capacity Pressurised Pond Filtration System
The Evolution Aqua K+ Advanced 24” Bead Filter is a high capacity pressurised filtration system designed for koi ponds and ornamental ponds up to 36,000 litres. Built around Evolution Aqua’s K+ Advanced media, this unit delivers powerful mechanical and biological filtration within a compact, durable housing.
Unlike traditional sand or bead systems, the K+ Advanced range uses engineered floating media that provides increased surface area for beneficial bacteria. As a result, the filter supports efficient ammonia and nitrite conversion while also capturing fine suspended solids.
Because the unit operates under pressure, it offers flexible installation options. It can be positioned below pond level or remotely within a filter bay. Therefore, it is well suited to pump fed systems and installations where gravity filtration is not practical.
Mechanical and Biological Filtration with 100 Litres of K+ Media
The 24 inch model is supplied preloaded with 100 litres of K+ Advanced Media. This significantly increases biological capacity compared to the 20 inch model.
Firstly, the media traps fine suspended particles, improving water clarity. Secondly, it provides a large protected surface area for nitrifying bacteria. Consequently, the system delivers stable biological performance even in higher stocked koi ponds.
During cleaning, the supplied air blower agitates the media bed, releasing trapped debris. The multiport valve then allows simple backwashing to waste. As a result, maintenance is straightforward and does not require dismantling the unit.
Durable Rotationally Moulded Construction
The housing is manufactured using a rotational moulding process. This creates a thick walled, UV resistant shell designed for long term outdoor use.
With approximate dimensions of 620 mm width and 810 mm height, the 24 inch unit remains compact relative to its filtration capacity. Consequently, it provides strong performance without requiring the footprint of larger multi chamber systems.
The 2 inch pipework connections allow higher flow rates while maintaining efficient circulation.
